Review Verification

The process of confirming that a review comes from a genuine customer.

What is Review Verification?

Review verification is the system used to ensure that a review was written by a real person who actually purchased the product or used the service.

Methods of Verification

  • Email Verification: Confirming the reviewer owns the email address provided.
  • Proof of Purchase: Linking the review to a specific transaction ID or order number.
  • SSO / Identity: Using Google, Facebook, or other identity providers to sign in before reviewing.

Verified vs. Unverified

Verified reviews carry a "Verified Buyer" badge and generally hold more weight with consumers and search algorithms. Unverified reviews are open to anyone and require stricter moderation to prevent spam.
