Star Rating
The universal visualization of customer satisfaction on a 1-5 scale.
What is a Star Rating?
A star rating is a graphical representation of a grade or score, widely used to express feedback on content, products, or services. The most common scale is 1 to 5 stars.
The Psychology of Stars
- 4.0 - 4.7 Stars: The "sweet spot" for purchase likelihood. A perfect 5.0 can sometimes look "too good to be true" if the review count is low.
- Below 3.5 Stars: Conversion rates drop significantly.
Aggregate Rating
In search results (like Google Rich Snippets), the "Aggregate Rating" is the average of all reviews, often displayed alongside the total review count.
